2015 USDA 1890 National Scholars Program April 11, 2016 http://www.outreach.usda.gov/education/1890/ The National Scholars Program is a major effort of the USDA and nineteen 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Institutions (HBCUs) to award scholarships to students to attend one of the nineteen 1890 Institutions in any field of study in agriculture, food, natural resource sciences or other related disciplines. The USDA/1890 National Scholars Program will provide full tuition, employment, employment benefits, fees, books, and room and board each year for up to four years to selected students pursuing a bachelor’s degree at the 19 schools listed on the website.

KAPT Scholarship May 1, 2016 http://education.ky.gov/districts/trans/Pages/Scholarships.aspxEducation Scholarships Available to Children of School District Transportation Employees The Kentucky Association of Pupil Transportation (KAPT) will grant four $1000 education scholarships. This scholarship will be awarded to four (4) students entering college for the 2015-16 school year. Applicants must be a Kentucky public school student who will attend a certified college, university or technical school in 2015-16. The scholarship award is made directly to the postsecondary school selected by the awarded student and must be used in support of the student’s 2015-16 school year tuition, books or fees.
The student must have a parent/guardian actively employed in the Kentucky public school transportation field with a gross taxable family income of no more than $55,000 for the past tax year. The student must have at least a 3.0 (B) scholastic average, must have graduated from a Kentucky public high school and must be attending a postsecondary educational institution in 2015.
